GCF (Greenhills Christian Fellowship) South Metro is actually a school and a venue for Christian fellowship. This is one of the nearest (and the cheapest!) venue from St. James (if you are a non-resident of AAV) because it's along Daang Hari lang. We were assisted by kuya Nelson who is the supervisor, he's very friendly and accommodating so we're not hesitant or intimidated to ask all our questions.
GCF Entrance |
They offer different types of halls that depend on the number of guests. Since we have a rough estimate of 200 pax, we just took pictures of the largest hall. It is located on the 2nd floor, so from the stairs there is a an area that is large enough for registration, photo booth, cocktails and some large sofas that guests can hang out before, during or after the reception. The sofa will be re-upholstered by 2013 daw kasi medyo sira-sira na din. So if ever we'll book GCF newly upholstered sofa! Pero bongga ang laki nung area di ba? Pwede tumambling! :)
By the way, the entrance to the hall is that door (with kuya Nelson) shown in the pic below.
registration, cocktails and photobooth area (never mind us, that's my father by the way hehehe, hindi kita si mama) |
This is the view upon entering, it's quite overwhelming because for 200 pax aalog-alog sa loob ang tao (again pwede tumambling!). The Villars held their family reunion here and they were like 700 pax inside, so ganun sya kalaki. I forgot the number of seats it can hold though.

view from upper box |
The hall has an upper box, kasi it's really intended for concerts/presentations. Nasa taas din yung operator for the sound system and LCD projector (we forgot to take pics, but it looks like you what see in television studio na may tv monitor with different controls for the lights & sounds).

What I liked most about the main hall is their lights & sound system quality, it's superb! So reasonable talaga yung rates nila. Downside of the place is, if you're particular sa decors ek-ek, you have to hire an event stylist, IMO, it will look dull on pictures/videos science naman di ba?
There's a VIP room for the couple to retouch or rest before the reception program starts. On fellowship days, it serves as a child room so that families with kids avoid interruption to other people. The hall has a powerful a/c kasi during the ocular visit, only 1 a/c was running and it was ok na, so I think guest might consider to bring a coat in case it gets too chilly for them. The hall also has 3 projectors (see picture of the stage), so for the wedding package, they offer the middle one and an additional cost if you still want to use the other two. There's an elevator for easier access, yung stairs kasi katamtaman lang ang lawak, very simple lang so don't expect a grand spiral staircase! Lots of parking slots sa likod pa nung building, kasi sa harap parang konti lang, but when you go behind the building there's still a lot space, if nakulangan naman kayo, you can use the side parking but park at your own risk! Hehehe, hindi naman masyado dahil meron namang security going around the area. There's also a CR on each floor, well maintained naman and malawak (pwede na rin tumambling). For those guests who will commute, it will just be easy for them 'coz there's a lot of jeepneys, tricycles, vans and taxis passing by the area.
As I have said they have other halls, which is for 100 pax, it is located on the first floor and can cater baptismal, conference and other small gathering events. It also has a/c, LCD projector & screen, stage and has same quality of sound system as their main hall.
If you are interested to have an ocular inspection of the place, I advise you to call first kasi minsan they have a scheduled fellowship or minsan wala si kuya Nelson. For the rates, you have to submit a Letter of Intent to the Administrator stating the the kind of event (reception only, wedding ceremony + reception), date, time, number of guests. You can also shoot me an email or just comment if you want to know the rates asap. They have no accredited caterer, florist or any suppliers except for the lights & sound system kasi nga in-house na. Ask for their house rules also kasi no alcohol inside, so hindi pwede ang mobile bar! Their rates is very very reasonable for a large wedding so sulit ang resources nyo dito! Peso power is >50k plus 10k security deposit (refundable after the event).
