Since we decided not to get Fernbrook as our Church & Reception venue (story soon...), St. James became our next target. We really want to held our wedding around Alabang area, from hotel to church to reception, para less hassle sa mga guests & to us na rin syempre.
What can I say, entrance pa lang grand na! Pasensya na at kulang ang pics, kasi I told myself I will take detailed pics when I make a down payment na, unfortunately it will never happen na hehehe!
Office is located below the Church. We did not call prior to visiting so we didn't know that the OIC for wedding events was not there. Good thing a lay minister (forgot his name) entertained us & was able to answer all our inquiry. He even showed us their calendar for January 2014. Unfortunately, 3pm of Jan 9 was already taken! Ha! Yari! So our hearts sank cause if we decided to book SJG, we have to change date or get the 10am slot or get the 7pm slot. We do not want a morning wedding, because Choi & I are not morning peeps & we don't want our guests to be sleepy during the reception!... 7pm? Forget it! Other thing that I (little) worry about this church is we only have a maximum of 200 guests, hindi ba parang aalog-alog naman kame sa loob nun? Kasi parang ang lungkot ng church kapag konti yung tao sa loob whenever there's a ceremony of celebration going on.
SJG is located inside Ayala Alabang Village so you have to leave your Driver's license to gate security. Outsiders can only enter the village thru the village gate in Acacia Ave. (not sure what gate is that ^_^ ). There are many parking slots around the church. Yung parking parang sa Alabang Town Center with vines, fountain & St. James monument nga lang, kaya mukha syang isang malaking garden. There's no a/c when we visited so I don't know if we are going to freeze to death on the day or what, hehehe. Weekday kasi so walang mass, but I will definitely make time to attend mass here.
