Since we fell in love with St. Benedict Church and decided to book THE PLACE, reception hunting in Sta. Rosa Laguna therefore begins!
Sa mga hindi pa po nakaka-alam ang SBC ang church ng Shalani-Roman nuptial, so feelingera artistahin/pulitiko kame kaya first stop sa aming hunting ay ang Evoliving Dockside sa Evoliving Center Nuvali (which is also their reception). Nakapunta na kame sa Evoliving Center when we attended the Avida Open House last year & walking distance lang din from Solenad 1 & Solenad 2 so no sweat pagpunta...
Enter kame sa reception area...
Receptionist: Good afternoon sir/ma'm!
Chorlaluh: Good afternoon! Mag-oocular and mag-iinquire sana kame sa Evoliving Dockside for a wedding reception. *smile*
Receptionist: Ay hindi na po pwede yung Dockside for events eh...
TOINKS!
Receptionist: ...kasi meron na pong kino-construct na bago, for events po talaga - THE MONOCHROME (sabay bigay ng flyer)
ALLELUIA!!!
Chorlaluh: Wow! Talaga?! Asan yun?
Receptionist: Andyan lang po sa likod, i-contact nyo yung AE para makapag-inquire po kayo.
Chorlaluh: Ok, salamat po *ngiti hanggang tenga*
Pumunta kame sa Evoliving Dockside para makita yung Monochrome, and it was love at first sight talaga kahit under construction pa lang at kahit sa malayo lang.

Pagdating sa bahay, ni-text & ni-email ko agad AEs Michelle and Aiko (dalawa na para sigurado). They replied immediately naman! Kaya nakakatuwa, everytime I need to ask something, they always reply back & patiently answered my questions with a smiley! :) At dahil hindi ako masyado excited, habang ka-exchange of text & email ko sila, nag-bbrowse pa ako sa website nila & sa mga wedding forums if meron ng naka-experience dito or any feedbacks re Monochrome, syempre asa naman ako na meron pa, eh ongoing construction pa nga de bah?!
So last Nov 12 we made our down payment na sabay ocular na din, thus ended our reception hunting! We decided to get the Silver Wing (and still thinking if we will get also the Lower Chrome). Ipagpaumanhin nyo kung may mga extrang construction workers dahil nagkakabit pa ng tiles nung time na yun hehehe... Sa talahiban pa nga kame dumaan nun at wala pang ilaw sa labas hahaha! At dahil nakalimutan namin ang SLR, sa digicam ng pamangkin ko kame muna nakihiram hehehe... Here are the initial pics...

We visited Monochrome again Dec 8, and medyo nag-improved na, kaya meron na akong mapapakitang matinong pics & ma-shashare na kwento!
Peso Power: 40k - 250k plus 20k security deposit (refundable after the event). We got the chance to be included in the 1st 100 bookers, kaya we had a 20% discount! It's a big deal for us na rin! They also gave us a flexible payment terms since we book them very early.
Accredited Suppliers: They have a list of accredited caterers, florists, lights & sound system, so corkage fee will apply if you opt to get outside. Good thing Josiah's was in the list, phew! (We already booked Josiah's Catering before we knew there was Monochrome)
Venue: Monochrome has 4 different types of venue - Platinum Wing, Silver Wing, Lower Chrome, & Upper Chrome. Check out their website link at the end of post for the details, in the mean time, here are the pics... Most of the shots are from Silver Wing since we chose that one and may event din on that day :)

VIP Room: Platinum & Silver Wing lang ang may VIP. Yung mga stairs leads to each VIP, kaya bongga ang entrance ng couple galing sa taas hahaha! Sabi ni AE Michelle - place for couple to rest & re-touch, equipped with the same amenities of any Deluxe Room Hotel (including Toilet & Bath!)... for the mean time, office muna ng mga employees dun hahaha!

Backyard: Hahaha, I called this the backyard because I also want this kind of backyard when I have my own house & lot, chos! The landscaping was still not finished pero pwede na de bah?!
Update: This part is c/o of Nuvali, and additional 30k for 4 hours if you want to utilize this area. 30k is payable to Nuvali but can be course through Monochrome office.

Extra Activities: Boat ride in the lake, still thinking if we are going to rent this for more than 1 hour so that guests can also enjoy the ride!
Hotel Preps: tie up with Acacia (in Alabang), they can give Endorsement Letter to avail Corporate Account Rate
Location/Transportation: It's near Sta. Rosa - Tagaytay Road, so for commuters you can ride a jeep going to Tagaytay, then ride a tricycle in Solenad 1. Or you can take the Nuvali Mass Transit To/From Makati and Balibago Terminal (for schedule of Mass Transit, see Nuvali link at the end of post). For those who have their own vehicles, you can go through several exits along SLEX:
- Greenfield City/Unilab/Mamplasan (secured access, must have Greenfield sticker)
- Sta. Rosa (extreme traffic esp before/after school hours and working hours)
- Eton City
- Silangan
- Calamba
One of the things I like in Monochrome, it is just 5-mins away from SBC! No traffic, no hassle!

Parking: There is a parking area (sorry, not free) near Monochrome, and rates may apply accordingly.
Smoking area: Nuvali is an eco-community development place so there's a designated smoking area, will update soon!
It's really a great relief on our part when we booked the Church & Reception Venue since they will both play a great role in our Big Day. We're happy that we found SBC & Monochrome! Yey! Wala na talagang atrasan itech!
